| The Large Hadron Collider launched its research program on March 30 with the first collisions of protons at 7 TeV. In the month since those first collisions, the LHC accelerator team has increased the collider's luminosity tenfold, and the LHC experiments have begun the process of rediscovering known particles--a critical first step in the path to new particle physics discoveries. |
